Chain of Hope is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary of providing vital cardiac care to children in Jamaica. As part of this milestone, the organization is conducting a special medical mission at Bustamante Hospital for Children. A volunteer team of medical specialists, led by paediatric cardiac surgeon Professor Victor Tsang, is on site from June 8 to 15.
During this mission, the team plans to perform open-heart surgeries on eight to 10 Jamaican children who suffer from complex heart conditions. This initiative underscores Chain of Hope’s ongoing commitment to addressing critical health needs within the country.
The charity’s life-saving work in Jamaica first commenced in 1996, establishing a three-decade legacy of medical support. The current mission continues this tradition by offering specialized surgical interventions to young patients.
