Racist Jake Lang Gets Beat Up By ‘Spider-Man,’ And The Internet Loves It

During the event, individuals associated with Lang's group operated a vehicle that drove onto the sidewalk while displaying inflammatory signage containing racial slurs. According to reports, Lang has a documented history of organizing demonstrations targeting Black communities and culture, including a previous appearance at the BET Awards in June where his group held signs with dehumanizing messages about Black people.

Video footage shows a person in a Spider-Man costume engaging physically with the group, an encounter that rapidly spread across social media platforms. The individual later identified as William Nicholas Love, a 33-year-old Minneapolis resident, became the focal point of widespread online support.

Lang was taken into custody and remained jailed on charges related to riot participation, with authorities indicating he may face felony or gross misdemeanor riot charges pending formal charges. He stated that he attempted to block the vehicle's path using a police barricade, but that law enforcement removed the barrier and allowed the group to proceed. He characterized his response as an attempt to protect the community from what he described as an invasion of racist supremacists. Love also alleged that police focused more on arresting and subduing him rather than addressing Lang and his associates.

The incident has generated significant community response. Multiple fundraising campaigns have been established to support Love's legal defense, and supporters have organized efforts to attend his scheduled court appearance. Love is scheduled to appear in court on September 4th at the Hennepin County Courthouse, with organizers calling for community members to attend the hearing in support.
