Africa Tech Alliance Forum has announced that its sixth annual gathering, AfriTECH 6.0, will take place in Lagos on 13 November 2026, bringing renewed focus to the infrastructure, capital and policy needed to scale Africa’s digital economy.
Lagos forum targets digital growth
The event is scheduled for the Oriental Hotel on Lekki Road and will be held under the theme, The Next $1 Trillion Opportunity: Building Africa Through Technology.
DGBN has also reported on AfriTECH 6.0 and ATAEx Awards set for Lagos on 13 November.
Organisers say the one-day forum will convene government officials, regulators, investors, founders and senior executives from technology, banking, fintech and telecommunications. The programme is intended to move beyond broad statements of ambition towards practical discussions on how African businesses and institutions can build digital systems that work across borders.
AfriTECH 6.0 is being co-convened by the Africa Tech Alliance Forum and the TechCastle Foundation, with Techeconomy listed as a media-platform supporter.
Policy, investment and infrastructure
The announcement comes as African technology companies continue to confront familiar structural barriers, including uneven broadband and electricity access, fragmented regulation and difficult routes to growth capital.

Those challenges are central to why the forum matters. Africa has demonstrated global influence through mobile money, fintech and entrepreneurial innovation, but Black founders and consumers will not benefit fully from that momentum unless investment is matched by reliable public infrastructure, fair rules and access to regional markets.
According to the organisers, the agenda will bring investors and builders into direct conversation with policymakers and regulators shaping payments, data and wider digital infrastructure.
Chike Onwuegbuchi, co-convener of the Africa Tech Alliance Forum, said the sixth edition would press participants to produce actionable answers to the continent’s economic ambitions rather than treat the trillion-dollar target as a slogan.
Awards return alongside main event
The Africa Tech Alliance Excellence Awards, known as ATAEx, will also return alongside the forum. The awards recognise contributions across technology, fintech, telecoms and the broader digital economy.
The gathering is expected to attract venture capital, private equity and development-finance participants, along with founders and operators from start-ups and larger technology businesses. Organisers have also opened attendance and partnership opportunities to delegates, sponsors and the press.

For Nigeria, the event reinforces Lagos’s role as a meeting point for African innovation and investment. For the continent, its real value will depend on whether discussions about digital growth translate into financing, infrastructure and policy reforms that give African innovators greater ownership of the technology economy.
