Justice Minister Delroy Chuck announced that the Integrated Electronic Case Management System, or IECMS, will significantly advance Jamaica’s justice reform efforts. The system draws inspiration from Rwanda’s digitization model.
The IECMS is designed to replace the current paper-based case management in Jamaican courts. Minister Chuck stated that the goal is to eliminate paper entirely within the next two to three years.
The Minister envisions a future where all justice stakeholders in Jamaica are electronically interconnected through this system, creating a seamless and interconnected justice system. This digitalization aims to enhance efficiency and connectivity within the judicial process.
